Getting started

This is my first attempt at blogging. Its part of a research project on digital literacy in which I am supposed to document my journey. As I write I find the major stubbling block to be not really knowing which audience I'm writing for. My fellow researchers, participants in the study, myself? The notion of sharing thoughts and ideas before they have been thoroughly thought out, considered, edited and polished seems bizarre and slightly uncomfortable.

Actually, I've seen very few bloggs so my understanding of them and their purpose may be quite wrong. Perhaps this experience will change my views.
